Additional information
Test-run inspections are only carried out for vessels operating on territorial waters i.e., within 12 nautical miles from the shore. During the test-run, the inspector will accompany representatives of the fishing vessel to the fishing grounds, and conduct an inspection while the vessel is fishing and processing.
The inspector conducts inspection to assess compliance of the vessel with the documented Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) manuals, the facilities, and equipment the used for fish handling.
The inspector will leave a summary of the findings in the inspector's register for the processor to comply with.The detailed test-run inspection report will be sent to the processor within five (5) days after inspection.
