Additional information

Prior to application of the import permit for animal feeds, a risk assessment questionnaire is sent by DVS to the competent authority in the exporting country.
For new applicants, DVS will carry out an inspection to ensure the premises and storage is in accordance with the requirements of Kenya.
The applicant must also have user credentials to access the Kenya TradeNet System. For more information on how to train and register with the Kenya TradeNet System, click here.The applicant is also required to apply for the unique consignment reference (UCR) prior to applying for the import permit.
