The InfoTrade Portal, launched in November 2017, is managed by the Kenya Trade Network Agency under the National Trade Facilitation Committee and in partnership with the State Department for Trade. With technical assistance from UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD), International Trade Centre (ITC), and the EAC Secretariat, the portal and its team play a key role in digitizing and streamlining cross-border trade procedures in the EAC region.
The Government of Kenya acknowledges the generous support of its international partners who have financed the development of the portal and related trade facilitation initiatives since 2016:
- TradeMark Africa with USAID and the Government of the Netherlands funding
- European Union through EAC MARKUP Programs 1 and 2
- GIZ
- African Development Bank as an Implementing Partner of the Finance Facility of the Multilateral Cooperation Center for Development Finance (MCDF)
Their contributions have been instrumental in enhancing trade efficiency and regional economic integration.
