Additional information

Verification of the consignment is done at the entry points.
Consignments that arrive without a Certificate of Conformity (COC) will be subject to destination inspection which attracts a fee of 5% of the customs value of the consignment.
Consignments that require amending of the COC and part shipment consignments that require splitting of the COC will attract a minimum fee of USD 265 or 0.6% of the customs value, whichever is higher, to facilitate the issuance of a local certificate of compliance. In such cases, KEBS will issue a demand note.
