Consignments that arrive without a certificate of conformity (COC), from the country of origin, will be subject to destination inspection. However, for consignments that have an exemption or waiver letter, KEBS will generate a local COC for the importer without any charges. This is subject to approval by the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Trade and Cooperatives.
