Payment methods: mobile money platform, electronic money transfer
For electronic payments, the applicant will be redirected to the National Payment Gateway (NPG) page where they either select MPESA or payment via card.
For MPESA payments, applicants will be prompted to input their phone number after which they will receive a prompt on their phone and the payment is processed.
For card payments, the applicants will be required to provide their debit card details, and the amount will be deducted. The status will then be updated in the system.
A processing fee of KES 100 will charged for payments made via MPESA.

Additional information

Prior to application for the import permit for meat and meat products, a risk assessment questionnaire is sent to the exporting country by DVS for evaluation to evaluate if the consignment has met the requirements outlined by DVS. Each consignment must be accompanied by an international veterinary certificate from the country of origin
The applicant must also have user credentials to access the Trade Facilitation Platform (TFP). For more information on how to train and register with the TFP, click here.The applicant is also required to apply for the unique consignment reference (UCR) prior to applying for the import permit.
