Time frame

The time taken to carry out inspection will depend on the size of the consignment and the type of product. This can take upto 3 hours for 100% verification.

Additional information

Verification is carried out at the verification of goods area at the respective Container Freight Station (CFS).
In cases where the consignment does not tally with the consignment's documentation, the PPB inspector will stop the consignment, issue an objection certificate and collect samples for further analysis. The PPB officer will then issue a sample collection form to the trader.

To confirm the status of the release i.e approved, held or rejected, the clearing agent will be required to log in to the Trade Facilitation Platform (TFP) after verification has been completed.
