Additional information

KEPHIS can either stamp the copy of the plant import permit or the customs entry to indicate clearance but will retain the original Plant Import Permit. If the consignment does not meet the phytosanitary requirements, it can be treated, destroyed or shipped back to the country of origin at the expense of the importer. Fruits like apples, oranges and tangerines will be sampled for chemical residue analysis.
