Providing consignee details, gross weight (tare, packaging and cargo). The weight of the container must be provided by a company certified by Kenya Maritime Authority (KMA).

Additional information

The clearing agent is required to indicate the verified gross mass (VGM) application number of the weighing company. The cargo should be delivered within the opening and closing of the yard. This is usually 7 days before the expected time of arrival (ETA) of the vessel. Containers that arrive beyond the closing of the yard will be subject to approval by the shipping line and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), who will also impose a late acceptance/ documentation fee of USD 100 per container.
