Filled and signed by the applicant.
EATTA certificate of acceptance (original)
Signed by the applicant and stamped by the company.
Certificate of registration of trade mark (copy)
Obtained from Kenya Industrial Property Institute (KIPI).
Application for registration of a trademark - Form TM2 (copy)
Completed by the applicant to confirm process of registration has been initiated.
List of shareholders (Form CR-12) (copy)
Food hygiene licence (copy)
Issued by County public health authorities.
Tea packer registration certificate (copy)

Recommendation letter (original)
Proposed and seconded for membership by two different EATTA members with more than three (3) years of membership.
Valid business permit (copy)
Issued by the County Government.
Company PIN (copy)

Membership applications are reviewed and approved by the Board at its quarterly (February, March, July and November) meetings. Completed forms should be submitted by the applicant to EATTA at least two weeks to the next scheduled board meeting.

East African Tea Trade Association (EATTA) Membership Guidelines (2020)
Upon submission of the application, the EATTA officer will together with the applicant go through the application to make sure that all requirements have been met. Thereafter, the applicant will be advised that their application will be submitted to the EATTA Board for approval during their next scheduled meeting. A packer member does not access the auction directly. They can source their teas from producer or buyer members. Relevant duty and taxes have to be paid for auction purchases of transit teas through buyers.
